A few weeks ago I met this fun adventurous couple with an amazing sense of humor! It was a foggy, overcast morning with a little chill in the mountains of West Virginia. I met Keegan & Preston in a small little town, Harpers Ferry.
Harpers Ferry is a small town in West Virginia where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet. The cute town is normally busy with tourists who are hiking along the trails, eating at the small restaurants and bars and shopping in the cutest little stores. However with Covid-19 still keeping business shut down Harpers Ferry is a ghost town.
Needless to say the emptiness made it so easy to take in its beautiful scenery and capture some amazing shots with nothing but romantic views. Harpers Ferry offers such a quaint charm and in a way almost reminds you of small towns in another country and really creates the most timeless backdrop.
Keegan & Preston were gems to work with. We chose this location because Preston proposed here!! These two met back in high school. They admitted they had a little fling but ultimately decided to stay friends. Keegan moved away for a few years but upon returning they reconnected and knew it was the real deal.
After exploring the town and them graciously hiking up steep hills with me we made our way back to their home. We ended our shoot with some fun pictures in their old high school sweatshirts and included their fur babies for some fun family photos.
I can’t wait to see how their wedding unfolds as they start to plan their journey.
