Some weddings feel especially meaningful.
Not just because of the beautiful venue or the perfect weather, but because of the people standing in front of your camera.
Jordan and I have been friends since high school, so when he and Holly asked me to photograph their wedding day at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, it was an incredible honor. Getting to witness one of your oldest friends marry the love of his life is something I’ll never take for granted, and being trusted to preserve those memories made the day even more special.
Their early summer wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, meaningful family traditions, stunning waterfront views, and one unforgettable sunset along the Chesapeake Bay.
Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in Stevensville, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is one of the area’s most sought-after waterfront wedding venues—and it’s easy to see why.
From panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay to elegant event spaces, every corner of the property is designed with weddings in mind. Whether couples dream of an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water or an elegant indoor celebration, the venue offers the perfect blend of coastal charm and timeless elegance.
Jordan and Holly celebrated in the beautiful Sunset Ballroom, where floor-to-ceiling windows filled the space with natural light and breathtaking views of the bay. It created an elegant atmosphere while still allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of Maryland’s coastline throughout the evening.
As a wedding photographer, every couple becomes part of my story.
But this one was different.
Jordan and I grew up together, and watching him step into this new chapter with Holly was incredibly special. Throughout the day, I couldn’t help but think about how far life has brought us—from high school memories to standing beside him as he married his best friend.
It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Weddings aren’t just beautiful celebrations—they’re milestones, and getting to preserve them for people you’ve known for years is something I’ll always be grateful for.
One of the most touching parts of the day was seeing the many ways Holly honored her grandfather.
Family heirlooms were carefully incorporated into her bridal details, each carrying a story and a memory. One of the most meaningful pieces was her grandfather’s sweater, a beautiful reminder that although he couldn’t be there physically, his love was present throughout the day.
These small details often become some of my favorite photographs because they represent something much deeper than beautiful styling. They preserve family history and remind us that weddings are about generations of love coming together.
Before guests arrived, Jordan and Holly shared a private first look.
Away from the excitement of the day, they had the opportunity to see one another, calm their nerves, and soak in a few quiet moments before walking down the aisle.
There’s something incredibly special about first looks. They allow couples to be fully present with one another before the whirlwind begins, and they often become some of the most emotional moments of the entire wedding day.
Their ceremony took place inside the stunning Sunset Ballroom, where the waterfront views created the perfect backdrop as they exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends.
The combination of elegant architecture, warm natural light, and sweeping bay views made every moment feel timeless. It was the perfect setting for two people beginning the next chapter of their lives together.
If there was one part of the evening that perfectly reflected Jordan and Holly, it was the speeches.
From heartfelt stories to hilarious memories, every toast was filled with genuine emotion. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room one moment, followed by uncontrollable laughter the next.
Those are always some of my favorite moments to capture because they’re completely unscripted. They remind everyone why they’re there—not just to celebrate a wedding, but to celebrate two incredible people and the community that surrounds them.
As the evening light softened, we stepped outside for sunset portraits on the beach.
This is one of the many reasons couples love getting married at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Within minutes, you can go from the elegance of the ballroom to quiet moments along the shoreline with the Chesapeake Bay stretching endlessly behind you.
The soft golden light, gentle breeze, and peaceful waterfront created some of my favorite portraits from the entire day. These are the moments couples rarely get during such a busy celebration—a chance to pause, breathe, and simply enjoy being newly married.
Just when everyone thought the celebration couldn’t get any better, the late-night snacks arrived.
After hours of dancing, laughter, and celebrating, guests were treated to a fun late-night bite that kept the energy going well into the evening. It’s one of those little touches guests always remember and a perfect way to end an unforgettable celebration.
If you’re planning a Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding or searching for a Baltimore wedding photographer to document your day, I’d love to help tell your story.
Whether you’re exchanging vows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, celebrating inside the Sunset Ballroom, or sneaking away for golden hour portraits on the beach, my goal is always the same—to create timeless photographs that allow you to relive every emotion for years to come.
Because years from now, your wedding won’t just be remembered for the beautiful venue or the incredible sunset.
It will be remembered for how it felt.
