A beautiful day for a Kent Island Resort Wedding!

Hannah and Chris’s wedding day was a perfect example of a classic Chesapeake Bay early fall day. The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, and the love was flowing! The happy couple tied the knot at The Kent Island Resort, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The venue is tucked away on the most beautiful property. They offer up to two weddings in a day either on the Manor side or the Farmstead side. It’s the perfect combination of rustic and elegant.

Hanna & Chris are true relationship goals!!! They both have huge, bubbly personalities with smiles that light up a room. While getting to know these two on their wedding journey I quickly realized they were the type of couple who liked to laugh, joke around and enjoy a good white claw. Every time I would get together with them it was tons of jokes, silly moments and relaxed energy which is a photographers dream! Their wedding day had the same relaxed vibe. The pair choose Bright Jewel colors with fall florals. They wanted the day to be full of cheer so they included customized Mule mugs for party favors, an oyster station and fun happy hour games like corn hole. Hannah is the type of girly who is always herself. She chose to go barefoot until cocktail hour because she is always tripping over her own feet. To optimize the most amount of time with their family and friends they decided to do a first look in the beginning of the day. This allowed them to be present at their cocktail hour to enjoy the party!

The wedding ceremony took place on the resort’s lawn, behind the new farmstead reception space. Guests were seated in white chairs as they admired the scenic backdrop. Hannah walked down the aisle with her father to meet her groom at the alter with a unique wedding march, Here comes the Sun by George Harrison. After exchanging vows, they were pronounced husband and wife! The cocktail hour was one of the highlights of the day. The couple joined in on the fun with their guests enjoying their signature drink, a moscow mule and snapping fun portraits with an awesome vintage truck. Before guests were seated, Hannah’s Dad gave a toast on the bed of the vintage truck and left no dry eyes in the audience.

The reception was held in the new farmstead reception space on the property. The dance floor was packed all night as guests enjoyed delicious food and danced the night away. It truly was a magical day that nobody will ever forget! The couple ended their evening with a bubble send off and then took the party to The Jetty Dock Bar, one of the islands best known party spots.
