I was so fortunate to meet the sweet and beautiful Kate Harley (Now Kate Budzinski) this past year. She is a talented blogger with an amazing story! I was so lucky to share her amazing bridal shower with her and now she is happily married to her man Tony and I couldn’t be more excited to see where life takes them.
When I first met Kate at a small networking event I was so impressed by her words of wisdom for instagram and her cute style. After the first time meeting her I knew I wanted to get to know her more and work with her for future collaborations. Kate has been kind enough to model for me for several projects for work. So when she reached out to me about photographing her bridal shower I felt so incredibly honored.
Kate has the cutest style, the warmest smile and an instagram that is complete fire which had me super excited for the bridal shower from day one. She told me it would be held at her gorgeous apartment, Union Wharf in Fells Point Baltimore. She also let me know it would be Parisian themed since proposed in Paris. (Start the swooning now!) Obviously I knew this was going to be one stunning event. Kate took a less traditional approach to her shower and I must say I loved it. She swapped out games and opening gifts with a flower crown station, photo booth/instagram station, mimosa station and wine tasting to finish off the day. She really made it a fun experience for all of her favorite ladies.
The shower was so romantic featuring blush and powder blue tones with lots of greenery and florals from Venus et Fleur. The focal point of the room was the giant cut out of the eiffel tower where guests could grab some fun photo booth props and a polaroid camera and take some cute pictures. Her shower was truly a persian dream. The flower crown station was definitely a huge highlight of the day. Everyone had so much fun and it truly emphasised Kates fun personality. The ladies ended their event with a fun wine tasting. Kate picked out wines that represented each of her beautiful bridesmaids and had a small wine tasting for her guests. Kate & Tony’s little puppy made an appearance and so did her man surprising her with some beautiful roses.
This was such a fun bridal shower and I think it’s a great way to shake things up from a traditional bridal shower while still creating a timeless experience. I loved that it was more about the guest experience and sharing moments together, having fun together and really celebrating the relationships created. I knot Kates shower has inspired me to think outside the box for my own bridal shower. How about you?
